With the vigorous development of modern aquaculture and feed industry, the requirements for feed quality are getting higher and higher. For pellet feed produced by poultry feed manufacturing machine, pellet length is a very important quality evaluation index.
Neat and consistent pellet feed not only meets the sales needs of feed manufacturers, but also meets the actual breeding needs of users. Pellets that are too long, too short or uneven are not conducive to animal feeding. In actual production, the length of the pellets produced by the poultry feed manufacturing machine is generally required to be 2 to 3 times the diameter of the pellets.
For example, granules with a diameter of 3 mm are generally produced with a length of 6 to 9 mm. Of course, according to actual user needs and different feed varieties, the length requirements are not necessarily within this range.
Therefore, in order to produce feed pellets that meet the requirements or as close as possible to the requirements, we will discuss some factors that affect the pellet length of the poultry feed pellet making machine and find the corresponding control methods to make it beneficial to the production needs, which is important for feed manufacturers significance.
Based on years of experience in poultry feed granulator design and field debugging, we will discuss this issue from the following aspects.
1.Parameters affecting the poultry feed manufacturing machine itself:
The output of the poultry feed manufacturing machine is Q (kg/h), the inner diameter of the ring die is D (mm), the effective width of the ring die is W (mm), the linear speed of the ring die is V (m/s), and the rotational speed of the ring die is n (r /min), the ring die aperture is d (mm), the ring die opening rate is m, the number of openings is n (pieces), and the granulation length is L (mm),
For the above formula, it is not difficult to analyze the factors affecting the pellet length L of the poultry feed manufacturing machine:
(1) The influence of the output of the poultry feed manufacturing machine.
It can be seen from the formula that the pellet length L is proportional to the output Q. With other parameters constant, the higher the yield, the longer the pellet, otherwise the shorter the pellet. Therefore, adjusting the output of the poultry feed pelletizer to meet specific pellet length requirements is a possible option.
In actual feed production, feed manufacturers do the same, sometimes sacrificing large amounts of output to meet pellet length requirements. This issue will be mentioned in the following discussion.
(2) Influence of ring die line speed or rotational speed.
It can be seen from the formula that the pellet length L is inversely proportional to the ring die linear velocity V or the ring die linear velocity n. When the feeding speed, that is, the output Q, remains constant, the faster the ring die speed, the shorter the instantaneously extruded pellets, and vice versa. For different sizes of poultry feed pelletizers, the rotational speed of the ring die varies greatly.
Generally, the rotating speed of the small poultry feed making machine is high, and the rotating speed of the large poultry feed manufacturing machine is low, but the linear speed of the ring die is controlled within a suitable range, generally between 6m/s~9m/s, to meet the needs of granulation.
When the linear speed of the ring die is small, the quality of the pellets is high, but the pellets may be longer than required, and the line speed is too small, which will affect the output; when the linear speed of the ring die is high, although it is beneficial to improve the output, the pellets may be shorter than the requirements, and the quality of the pellets.
It will become worse, which requires the feed manufacturer to choose its own ring die line speed according to different feed varieties, and realize it by changing the transmission ratio of the poultry feed manufacturing machine transmission system.
(3) Influence of ring die aperture and porosity.
The ring die aperture D has no direct effect on the pellet length L, it has an effect on the length L together with the number of openings N, that is, the size of the ring die opening ratio, because the opening ratio and the square of the ring die diameter D and the number of openings N is proportional to the product of .
The larger the porosity of the ring die, the shorter the pellets, and vice versa, the longer the pellets. The aperture ratio of the ring die corresponds to different ring die apertures. For example, a ring die has an opening rate of about 25%, and a ring die has an opening rate of about 38%.
Generally speaking, the larger the pore size, the higher the open porosity. In actual production, especially when producing small-diameter pellets, such as 1.8mm shrimp, some users complain that the pellets are too long, which is caused by the relatively low opening rate of the ring die when the aperture is small.
One of the solutions is to sacrifice part of the yield, or to achieve by increasing the line speed of the ring die. In addition, adjusting the cutter is discussed below.
(4) Influence of ring die inner diameter, effective width and pellet density.
For the poultry feed manufacturing machine, the inner diameter D of the ring die and the effective width W of the ring die are fixed parameters, which generally do not change, and it is not easy for users to change them, so they will not be discussed here. The pellet density is related to the raw material for granulation and also to the compression ratio of the ring die.
The higher the compression ratio, the firmer and denser the pellets will be. However, for general products, the pellet density is not very different, so the pellet density is not the main influencing parameter, so it will not be discussed too much here. In short, for the same granulation raw material, the larger the pellet density, the shorter the pellet length.
2.How to solve the oil-free phenomenon in the production process of the poultry feed pellet making machine?
Poultry feed manufacturing machines are powered by electricity, but in many cases oil drive has become essential. As we all know, the equipment works fast and depends entirely on the power belt, and oil is particularly important as the power supply of the equipment.
Solve the problem of no oil in the poultry feed manufacturing machine:
(1) The manufacturer of the complete set of equipment with an output of 5 tons of concentrate recommends that you check the main shaft and rotor of the poultry feed pellet machine first to ensure that there is no material residue in the gap.
(2) The manufacturer of the small poultry feed manufacturing machine recommends that the user needs to carefully clean the filter screen in the oil filter.
(3) Remove the grease block of the poultry feed manufacturing machine. Usually, the tool of choice is: an effective hollow tube of a certain length, mainly used to clean the impurities stuffed into the oil hole.
(4) We often say that in addition to checking the above matters, we should also check whether there is oil leakage at the refueling part. If the oil leak is particularly serious, it will definitely lead to no oil supply. The solution to this problem is to add an oil liner.
